Tom Breckenridge is TB TCS Ltd’s main consultant.  Tom has over thirty years experience in power engineering at all voltage levels, with specific expertise in the area of high voltage power transformers.

Prior to joining TB TCS Ltd, Tom was with SP Power Systems Ltd, a Scottish Power plc company, where he was their “in house” transformer specialist with particular emphasis on new transformer procurement and approval.

Tom has extensive experience in the areas of specification of power transformers, tender assessments and procurement support, design reviews with manufacturers and witnessing factory testing. Tom also has significant experience in supporting in service transformers through maintenance and condition assessment and in the investigation of transformer failures.

Tom is a graduate of Glasgow University and Strathclyde Graduate Business School and is a chartered engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and a registered European Engineer.
