A large power transformer can be considered to be an assembly of a number of sub-components assembled to create the whole transformer. A number of these sub systems are discrete components in their own right and as such need to be considered separately. The two most obvious components are the HV bushings and the tap changer.
TB TCS Ltd can assist Clients in the consideration of the most suitable approach to specification and approval of sub components.
TB TCS Ltd has experience of approval work on HV bushings, including witnessing bushing type tests and with tap changer approval.
Other components that should be considered separately include:
Oil
Oil preservation systems
Gas in Oil relays
Pumps and fans
Winding and Oil Temperature monitors
Marshalling Kiosks, control equipment and associated wiring
Condition monitoring equipment
